Tony winner Leslie Uggams, recently seen in the City Center Encores! staging of Jelly's Last Jam, returns to 54 Below March 20.
The stage and screen star is offering an encore of her hit show Leslie Uggams: Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue March 20, 21, and 23 at 7 PM.
Uggams will perform songs from her Broadway outings, including tunes from Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jerry's Girls, and Hallelujah, Baby!, as well as favorites from Gypsy, Funny Girl, and Carousel.
Uggams won the 1968 Tony for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in Hallelujah, Baby! and was Tony-nominated for her work in King Hedley II. She was also Emmy-nominated for her performance in the landmark TV miniseries Roots.
Next year, Carnegie Hall's house band will perform Bernstein’s “Kaddish” Symphony, unfinished works by Schubert, and the final concert of Conductor Bernard Labadie.
