Where Women Go, the final work from late playwright Tina Howe, will get a posthumous world premiere Off-Broadway via Tent Theater Company in association with Concord Theatricals. The show, a collection of three one-acts, will play the HERE Mainstage February 9-25 with Tent Co-Artistic Director Aimée Hayes at the helm.

The cast will feature Almeria Campbell, Brenda Currin, Jessica DiGiovanni, Peter Ganim, Breezy Leigh, Matthew Maguire, Tirol Palmer, Yessenia Rivas, and Yeena Sung.

Originally commissioned by Concord, the somewhat absurdist work follows a recently widowed New Yorker with herbs somehow sprouting out of her legs. Over the three acts, she visits a dermatologist, eats lunch with a friend at Subway, and shops at a street bazaar.

The production will feature scenic design by Taylor Friel, lighting design by Joey Moro, sound design by Lola Basiliere, costume design by Heather Freedman, and music direction by Simone Allen. Garrett Anderson is serving as dramaturg.

"Tina has been a unique and vibrant voice in the American theatre, and it is a great gift to be able to share these plays," says Tent Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director Tim Sanford in a statement. "Where Women Go uplifts both the musical vibrancy of her language and the delicate grief that pervades her greatest absurdist creations. It is pure Tina at her unbound best."

"It is a great honor to have commissioned a work by a visionary such as Tina Howe, whose plays have inspired and ignited the curiosity of so many of our contemporary theatre artists,” adds Concord Vice President of Acquisitions & Artistic Development Amy Rose Marsh. "Tina is undoubtedly one of the great American dramatists and deserves to be recognized as such."

Tickets are available via OvationTix.
