Of particular interest to theatre fans is the world premiere of a full orchestral arrangement of Sondheim on Sondheim, the Broadway revue that debuted in 2010 at Studio 54.
Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra will present Sondheim on Sondheim, which expands on the original Broadway score for a full symphony orchestra, June 20, 2015. One of the many who will offer concerts at Tanglewood in the upcoming season is six-time Tony winner Audra McDonald, who will play Ozawa Hall July 19.
Tanglewood’s 2015 season opens June 20 and continues through Labor Day Weekend.
Tickets, priced $10-$124, go on sale Jan. 25 and are available through Tanglewood’s website, www.tanglewood.org, through SymphonyCharge at (888) 266-1200, and at the Symphony Hall Box Office at 301 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston.
