Tony winners Sutton Foster and Aaron Tveit, who recently shared the stage in the hit revival of Sweeney Todd, will host the 2024 Drama Desk Awards, set for June 10 at 6:15 PM at the NYU Skirball Center.
The Drama Desk Awards—the only major New York City theatre awards for which productions on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Off-Off-Broadway compete against each other in the same categories—are voted on and bestowed by theatre critics, journalists, editors, and publishers covering theatre.
“We’re delighted Sutton Foster and Aaron Tveit are hosting this year’s Awards to toast this theatre season of abundance,” said Drama Desk co-presidents David Barbour and Charles Wright in a joint statement. “Our audience is in for a real treat!”
As was the case last year, all performance categories are gender-free. Nominees were announced April 29. As previously reported, Tony winner Nathan Lane will receive the Harold S. Prince Award, and Lincoln Center’s André Bishop will receive the William Wolf Award.
