The Shubert Organization has added three new members to its Artistic Circle for 2025. Launched in 2021, the initiative supports BIPOC theatre producers working on projects with commercial Broadway and Off-Broadway aspirations.
Joining the group are Miranda Gohh, George Strus, and Cynthia J. Tong.
Already a Tony nominee, Gohh is the founder of Theatre Producers of Color, which provides education, training, and mentorship to the next generation of BIPOC producers. She's also a co-founder of The Industry Standard Group, a BIPOC-led commercial theatre investment and producing organization. Gohh is an associate producer at Mike Bosner Productions (Shucked), and has previously worked with Davenport Theatrical Enterprises, Stairwell Productions, P3 Productions, and FourthWall Theatrical. Her Broadway producing credits include Suffs, Cabaret, Just for Us, Here Lies Love, A Beautiful Noise, and KPOP. Off-Broadway, Gohh was lead producer of Circle Jerk.
Strus is perhaps best known for their Breaking the Binary Theatre, a development and community-building hub that supports trans, non-binary, and Two-Spirit+ theatremakers. Strus is also the founding CEO of Benson Drive Productions, currently developing Amber Ruffin's Bigfoot. Strus' co-producing credits include Illinoise; Oh, Mary!; Romeo and Juliet; and Here We Are.
Tong is a Tony-nominated producer, currently with Tom Kirdahy Productions. Projects include Gypsy, Just in Time, and The Bedwetter.
