After a sold-out run last fall, Sesame Street the Musical will return Off-Broadway for a summer (sunny days) run. Performances for the musical from Rockefeller Productions and Sesame Workshop begin July 29 at Theatre 555.

The show features beloved Sesame Street characters like Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, Grover, Rosita, Bert, Ernie, Oscar the Grouch, The Count, and more—in their original puppet forms— singing both classic songs from the long-running TV series as well as new songs written for the production by songwriters Tony winner Tom Kitt (Almost Famous), Tony nominee Helen Park (KPOP), and Nate Edmondson.

Rockefeller Productions' previous works include Disney’s Winnie the Pooh: The New Musical Stage Adaptation, Paddington Gets in a Jam, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
