Critics are sounding off on the world premiere of John J. Caswell, Jr.'s Scene Partners. The production officially opened November 15 at Off-Broadway's Vineyard Theatre after beginning performances October 26. The recently extended run will continue through December 17.
Oscar winner Dianne Wiest stars as Meryl, who late-in-life decides to leave Milwaukee for Hollywood to become a movie star. Joining Wiest are Eric Berryman (Primary Trust) as Dr. Noah Drake, Johanna Day (Sweat) as Charlize, Josh Hamilton (Reality) as Hugo, Carmen M. Herlihy (Mrs. Murray's Menagerie) as Cassie, and Kristen Sieh (The Band's Visit) as Pauline.
