The Vineyard Theater celebrated the opening of Jordan Harrison’s new play The Amateurs, the story of a rag-tag group of pageant players attempting to outrun the Black Death in 14th-century Europe, February 27. Through an unexpected twist, The Amateurs also examines the value of art and creativity in the face of a crisis.
The world-premiere production is directed by Oliver Butler. Performances began February 8 and are scheduled through March 18.
The cast is made up of Kyle Beltran (Gloria), Quincy Tyler Bernstine (Ruined), Michael Cyril Creighton (Stage Kiss), Greg Keller (Somewhere Fun), Jennifer Kim (Gloria), and Thomas Jay Ryan (The Crucible).
