Jordan Harrison’s new play, The Amateurs, is set to begin performances February 8 at The Vineyard Theatre. The new drama from the Marjorie Prime playwright examines the intersection of creativity, art, and crisis.
In The Amateurs, a scrappy troupe of pageant players attempts to outrun the Black Death across 14th century Europe. When a new actor joins the group, leading lady Hollis is sent in search of answers.
The world-premiere production, directed by Oliver Butler, will officially open Off-Broadway February 27.
