Atlantic Theater Company present the world premieres of Infinite Life and Buena Vista Social Club in their 2023-2024 season, the first two titles to be revealed for the line-up.

The season will begin with Infinite Life, the newest work from Pulitzer winner Annie Baker. James Macdonald is directing. Co-produced with London's National Theatre, the premiere will run August 18–October 8 with opening night set for September 12. Set in Northern California, the play centers on five women holding a philosophical conversation in the open air as they grapple with suffering and desire.

Featured in the cast will be Marylouise Burke (True West), Mia Katigbak (Scenes From a Marriage), Christina Kirk (Clybourne Park), Kristine Nielsen (Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike), Brenda Pressley (The Lyons), and Pete Simpson (Is This a Room).

The production will also feature sets by dots, costumes by Ásta Bennie Hostetter, lighting by Isabella Byrd, sound by Bray Poor, props by Noah Mease, and casting by Caparelliotis Casting's Joe Geary. Laura Smith will serve as production stage manager.

Next up will be Marco Ramirez’s musical Buena Vista Social Club, directed by Tony Award nominee Saheem Ali (Fat Ham). Featuring a book by Ramirez, music by the Grammy-winning Buena Vista Social Club, and choreography by Patricia Delgado and Justin Peck, the production will run November 17–December 31, with opening night set for December 12. Inspired by the Grammy winning 1997 album of the same name, the musical tells the story of the artists involved in the album's recording while featuring the Cuban music via a music team led by Tony winner David Yazbeck.

Buena Vista Social Club will feature sets by Arnulfo Maldonado, costumes by Dede Ayite, lighting by Bradley King, sound by Jonathan Deans, and projections by Hannah Waseleski. The music team will include music supervisor Dean Sharenow and music director Marco Paguia. Casting, to be announced, is by Tara Rubin Casting's Xavier Rubiano.

Tickets for the season will go on sale to the general public July 11. Additional productions for the 2023-2024 season will be announced at a later date.
