News Pulitzer Prize Nominee Christopher Martin to Helm Old Times Revival The Harold Pinter drama will return to the New York stage in a deliberately spare interpretation.

Christopher Martin, the founding artistic director of Classic Stage Company, and a Pulitzer Prize nominee for his work on Robert Wilson’s The Civil Wars, is set to helm an Off-Broadway revival of Harold Pinter’s Old Times. The production is billed as a “deliberately spare interpretation“ of the suspenseful drama.

Old Times, seen on Broadway last year, will play November 25-December 11 at the White Space at Alchemical Theatre Laboratory, located at 104 14th Street. The staging will feature an international cast made up of Philip O’Gorman, Danielle Shimshoni, and Katarina Vizina.

Set in a converted farmhouse on the English coast, Old Times sees the reunion of two friends after 20 years. Anna is visiting her old friend Kate and her husband Deeley, and a rivalry between him and Anna quickly ignites, causing tensions to rise. The show is produced by Kristin Sgarro, Janine Hegarty, and actor O’Gorman.

Old Times was revived on Broadway in 2015 by the Roundabout Theatre Company, with direction by Douglas Hodge. The production starred Clive Owen, Eve Best, and Kelly Reilly.
