@playbill I think @JoshGrisetti should!!!Josh Grisetti recently made his Broadway debut as Marty Kaufman in It Shoulda Been You! He is set to appear in the Japanese premiere of Prince of Broadway at Tokyo's Theatre Orb beginning Oct. 23. Before heading overseas, he will perform his solo concert, Don't Bother, I'm Here, at 54 Below Sept. 23-24. Grisetti's easy tenor and great comedic timing would make an excellent SpongeBob.

@playbill @SpongeBob A joyful, energetic, silly singing sea sponge? Sounds like a perfect job for @RobMcClure!Rob McClure, who wowed audiences with his comedic skills as Charlie Chaplin in Chaplin, recently appeared as Jack Singer in Broadway's short-lived Honeymoon in Vegas. He will next be seen as Tim Allgood in the 2016 Roundabout Theatre Company production of Noises Off. His physical comedy skills and high-energy performances would make him an ideal SpongeBob.

@playbill @SpongeBob Jason Gotay and i think he would be great in the roleJason Gotay has appeared on Broadway as Randall in Bring it On: The Musical and in Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. He recently appeared as Jack in Into the Woods at the Muny and as a lost boy in NBC's Peter Pan Live. Gotay would make an excellent SpongeBob because of his youthful energy and strong rock tenor voice.

@playbill @SpongeBob @dannyquad91 you were born for this role!Daniel Quadrino is currently a member of the cast of Broadway's Wicked and has previously been seen in Newsies and Bye Bye Birdie. He also performed in 54 Below's Broadway Loves Sam Smith concert. Quadrino is also a worthy contender for the role of SpongeBob because of his excellent dancing skills and whimsical energy.

@playbill @SpongeBob Andrew Rannells. Hello!
— Sebastian (@sebastiantonioo) September 2, 2015
Stage and screen star Andrew Rannells was most recently on Broadway as the internationally ignored rock star Hedwig in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. He is best known for creating the role of Elder Price in The Book of Mormon, for which he received a Tony nomination, and was also seen in Broadway's Hairspray and Jersey Boys. He appeared on the television series "The New Normal" and is a series regular on "Girls." Rannells' rangy tenor and his comedic talent would make him an ideal SpongeBob.
