On February 10, Tony-winning performer Heather Headley dazzled a nearly sold-out crowd at Carnegie Hall with a one-night-only concert alongside the New York Pops. The evening explored Headley's extensive musical theatre resumé, with performances of songs from Aida, The Lion King, The Bodyguard, Into the Woods, and more.

The evening kicked off with an enchanting "Over the Rainbow" from The Wizard of Oz, and Headley quickly shifted gears to perform the Elton John-penned song "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?" from The Lion King. The concert served as a thrilling showcase of Headley's versatility as a performer, bouncing from Sondheim classics such as "Children Will Listen" and "No One Is Alone"  to soulful renditions of "Amazing Grace," "Your Song," and "River Deep, Mountain High," and even a song from Toy Story 2.

Between songs, Headley shared heartfelt anecdotes about her career, her children, and how she reacted to being asked to perform in the Kennedy Center's 2004 tribute to Elton John. Headley ended the evening on an electric note with a "curtain call" performance of "I Wanna Dance With Somebody," encouraging the audience to sing with her, and remarking that they were all making "their Carnegie Hall debuts" as the crowd sang and danced along.
