Meghan Kennedy's The Counter officially opened Off-Broadway at Roundabout's Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center October 9, and Playbill has the pictures to prove it! The play, which began previews September 20, is a recipient of an Edgerton Foundation New Play Award.
David Cromer directs the work about an unlikely friendship between a waitress and a diner regular. Starring Anthony Edwards as Paul, Amy Warren as Peg, and Susannah Flood as Katie, the play deals with themes of suicide.
The Counter features set design by Walt Spangler, costume design by Sarah Laux, lighting design by Stacey Derosier, and sound design by Christopher Darbassie. The production stage manager is Richard Hodge.
