Off-Broadway News Pan Asian Repertory Will Host Reading of Velina Hasu Houston's Calligraphy

The event launches the company's Fall 2024 Reading Series and its 48th season.

Pan Asian Repertory Theatre is launching its 48th season and a new reading series with Velina Hasu Houston's Calligraphy. Part of the new 2024 Fall Reading Series, the performance is set for September 19 at 5 PM at ART-NY's Bruce Mitchell Room. Kalina Ko is directing.

The work follows two cousins and their mother as they navigate the challenges posed by the past and the passage of time.

The cast will include Amara James Aja, June Angela, Mieko Gavia, Jully Lee, and Shigeko Sara Suga.

The reading series is also set to include a performance of Philip W. Chung's My Man Kono, directed by Jeff Liu, October 3. A full production of the work will follow, running February 6-March 9, 2025.
