Readings and Workshops Page 73 Will Hold Free Readings of New Works by Jake Brasch, Elinor T Vanderburg, More

Readings will include a reception and conversation with the playwright following the performance.

Tony- and Obie-winning Page 73 will host free, public readings of two works currently under development this fall.

Jake Brasch's Salutations, I'm Creative Dave (By Creative Dave) will be offered October 3–4, with Jess McLeod directing. The work centers on an average housekeeping robot who happens to also be an artist, writing a play of questionable value that reveals he hates his family. The performances will be held at The Flea.

Elinor T Vanderburg's Deep Salmon will follow October 16, at Aibel Studio in ART/NY Spaces. Lisa Milinazzo is directing the work, about secrets that begin to emerge when three siblings reunite to bury their father.

Next will be jose sebastian alberdi's Rachel, NV, performing October 31 and November 1. Tony winner Danya Taymor is at the helm of the work, described in press notes as an Area 51-set "play about aliens, nuns, BDSM, and more."

Another title from alberdi closes out the fall offerings, bogfriends, directed by Joshua Kahan Brody and performing November 4. The play tracks three pairs of characters across time and space, one that works together at a museum, one who are both Americans living in Ireland, and another who died more than 4,000 years ago.

All readings will be followed by a conversation with the playwright and a reception. All performances are also open to the public and free of charge with reservations at Page73.org.
