The rehearsed reading series will feature four new plays, including one MTC commission.

Jake Brasch, Alex Lin, Justice Hehir, and Ngozi Anyanwu

Manhattan Theatre Club has announced the lineup of plays to be showcased in their 2025 Ted Snowdon Reading Series, which supports and develops innovative new work. Readings will be held on Mondays March 10–31 at 4:00 PM at New York City Center – Stage I. All readings are free and open to the public, with limited space and RSVPs required.

Jake Brasch's How to Draw a Triangle will be presented March 10, with Colm Summers directing. The work follows Aaron, a musical theatre-obsessed fifth grader who is sent to work with Ms. Jimenez, a burnt-out occupational therapist. After a rocky start, the two form an unlikely bond.

Alex Lin's Let's Ride will follow, presented March 17 and directed by Laura Dupper. Commissioned by MTC through the Alfred P. Sloan Initiative, the piece investigates automation in algorithms through the story of a rideshare driver determined to get to the bottom of his unjust firing.

Justice Hehir's the dowagers will be showcased March 24, with Joan Sergay directing. The pandemic-era play follows Salome, Tara, and Chris, who share an apartment building and a system for navigating the unspeakable.

The series will conclude March 31 with THE MONSTERS, written and directed by Ngozi Anyanwu. The work centers around LIL, who has been obsessed with fighting, and one fighter in particular: her older brother, BIG. LIL admires BIG's success in the local Mixed Martial Arts circuit from afar, until she decides to show up on his doorstep.
