Nick Cearley (Buyer and Cellar, The Skivvies) and Gina Milo (Les Misérables, Annie) are returning to Skid Row, this time at the Michigan's Saugatuck Center for the Arts. This production marks the third time Cearley and Milo have played nebbish botanist Seymour and down-on-her-luck beauty Audrey (respectively) opposite each other, having previously starred in productions at Portland Center Stage and Cincinnati Playhouse. The Michigan production will run August 12–28.
The company will also include Natalie Renee as The Voice of Audrey II, Nathan Turland as the Audrey II puppeteer, Nia Simone Smith as Crystal, Ray DeMatteis as Mushnik, Ryan Williams as Orin, Trinity Mikel as Ronette, Tonyia Myrie Rue as Chiffon, with Sharaé Moultrie serving as the productions swing.
The production will be directed by Kurt Stamm, choreographed by Jay Gamboa, and feature music direction by Joshua Keller. The design team will consist of lighting designer Jen Kules, costume designer Darlene Veenstra, sound designer Cameron Griffiths, and scenic designer Paul Collins.
