The event will feature roundtables, panel discussions, presentations, readings and events to celebrate the life and career of the three-time Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Broadway's Our Town, The Skin of Our Teeth and The Matchmaker.

Included in the line-up of presenters are Pulitzer Prize winner Paula Vogel (How I Learned to Drive) and Pulitzer Prize finalist Will Eno (The Realistic Joneses). Vogel and Eno will give their perspectives on Wilder as playwrights.

Also on tap: Tony nominee and "Orange is the New Black" star Maria Dizzia reading from Wilder’s work; artistic director of Connecticut’s Long Wharf Theatre Gordon Edelstein in conversation about directing Wilder’s plays; and Tappan Wilder, the late playwright's nephew, sharing anecdotes from his 20-year history managing the Wilder Estate.

Held at Salve Regina University, the event will feature guests from France, China, Iran, Italy, Mexico, Switzerland and the U.S.

Wilder was an iconic American playwright and novelist. He spent his earlier years in Newport writing his first novel, "The Cabala," and returned many times throughout his life, penning many of his plays there.
