Industry News National Alliance for Musical Theatre Announces Lineup for 2023 Fall Conference

The conference, titled New Musicals on the Horizon, is set for October 24-25.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) has announced the lineup of speakers and the agenda for their fall conference New Musicals on the Horizon. The event is hosted by Signature Theatre, and will take place October 24 and 25 at New York's Pershing Square Signature Center. 

The conference will feature Michael Kaiser, Chairman of the DeVos Institute of Arts Management at the University of Maryland, in a keynote conversation with Kwofe Coleman, NAMT Board President and St. Louis Muny President and CEO. A second keynote speaker for day two will be announced at a later date.

"At the heart of NAMT is a relentless pursuit of innovation," says NAMT Executive Director Betsy King Militello. "Every year, the NAMT community breaks new ground, ensuring that musical theatre remains a vibrant, relevant and evolving art form for future generations. Through the collaborations at NAMT’s Fall events, we are not just seeing the future of musical theatre, but also actively shaping it."

Other fall conference sessions include a "State of the Industry" panel featuring leaders from theatres across the country, "Models of New Work Development," "Accessibility for All," and more. Conference attendees will also get a sneak peek at NAMT's 35th annual Festival of New Musicals, which takes place October 26 and 27.
