Tony winner Matt Doyle will not be feeding the plant for much longer. Four months after assuming the role of Seymour Krelborn in Little Shop of Horrors, Doyle has announced that he will exit the production July 16.

Doyle announced the impending exit via his personal social media, stating on his Instagram Stories that he was "leaving for a new project." Information on that project, or who will replace him on Skid Row, is not yet available.

Doyle currently is co-starring in Little Shop of Horrors with Maude Apatow (Euphoria). The Off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors began performances in 2019. The Howard Ashman-Alan Menken musical continues its run at Off-Broadway's Westside Theatre.

The Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors resumed its run September 21, 2021, after temporarily closing in March 2020 due to the pandemic.

Directed by Tony winner Michael Mayer, the revival opened in October 2019. The creative team for the Ashman-Menken musical also includes choreographer Ellenore Scott, scenic designer Julian Crouch, lighting designer Bradley King, costume designer Tom Broecker, sound designer Jessica Paz, puppet designer Nicholas Mahon, original puppet designer Martin P.
