Kate Burton and Celia Weston star in the cast of the Bay Street Theatre's production of Frank McGuinness' The Factory Girls. The production, which was previously seen this summer at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, will finish its Bay Street engagement on Aug. 1.

Burton was recently on Broadway with The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Weston appeared on Broadway in The Last Night of Ballyhoo. Also in the cast are Malcolm Adams, Gretchen Cleevely, Christopher McHale and Rebecca Shull.

McGuinness, the author of Someone to Watch Over Me, is best known for his recent, celebrated adaptations of Sophocles' Electra and Ibsen's A Doll's House, both of which were performed on Broadway. Factory Girls will be directed by Nye Heron.

Next on the Bay Street schedule is Fit to Print, to be directed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge. For Print, the Bay Street has commissioned eight original short plays by eight dramatists. The subject: the news media. The writers will include Constance Congdon, Christopher Durang, Terry George, David Ives, Craig Lucas, Wendy MacLeod, Marsha Norman and Sidney Blumenthal.

Bay Street's annual Summer gala benefit bash will take place July 10 and be hosted by Rosie O'Donnell. In the past, the Bay Street has produced world premieres by Jon Robin Baitz, Terrence McNally and others. Notable productions -- some of which have traveled to New York -- include Baitz's Three Hotels, Cynthia Ozick's The Shawl and Baitz and McNally's House.
