Broadway heads downtown this June as Playbill and some of your favorite Broadway shows and performers head to Christopher Park in the West Village for weekly concerts.

Gathering at Playbill's Pride-themed Sing for Hope piano, casts from Broadway shows will be performing live—and home viewers have the chance to tune in, as well, when we livestream the fun on the Playbill Facebook page.

Join in person at the piano located at 38-64 Christopher Street, or tune in to Playbill’s Facebook Live!

Our final concert will be at noon, June 26, with the cast of Pretty Woman.

This piano was designed and created by Playbill staff led by Leonard Rodino (Manager of Integrated Media, Partnerships, and Events) with assistance from Alex Birsh (Vice President), Dean Greer (Creative Services Manager), Jana Mallo (Manager, Playbill Travel Guest Relations), Eric Powers (Sales Assistant), and Madison Knox (Volunteer).

The 2019 Sing For Hope piano, titled “Pride of Broadway,” is designed to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ theatre community and the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots. Every June since 2015, Playbill’s iconic yellow trademark has switched to a rainbow design in honor of Pride month. For 2019, the rainbow design received a makeover to incorporate a horizontal rainbow brick design representing the first brick thrown during the Stonewall riots on June 28, 1969.

Continuing its summer tradition for the eighth year, Sing For Hope brings back its free public pianos to New York City throughout the month of June. Following June’s city-wide installation, Sing For Hope will transport the pianos to NYC public schools as a part of ongoing creative programs to enrich students’ lives.
