News John Stamos Comedy "Grandfathered" Picked Up by Fox Fox has picked up the new comedy series "Grandfathered" starring "Full House" vet and Broadway actor John Stamos, according to Deadline.

"Grandfathered" is an ABC Studios project from former "The Office" head writer Danny Chun and "Galavant" creator Dan Fogelman.

Stamos plays a version of his real-life self, a charming forever bachelor who unexpectedly discovers he is a father and a grandfather. Stamos is also executive producer on the project.

Stamos was featured on the "Galavant" musical TV series on ABC earlier this year, as well as "The New Normal" with Andrew Rannells in 2013. He is best known for his television work on "Full House," and has been seen on Broadway in The Best Man, Bye Bye Birdie, Nine, Cabaret and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. His other television credits include "Glee" and a long-running role on "ER," among others.
