The soon-to-be Broadway star told Stephen Colbert how her parents had to take the award home as she had a return flight to NYC for the show's Broadway rehearsals.

On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert April 5, Jodie Comer (Killing Eve) revealed that as she was headed back to New York City from London's Olivier Awards, her parents took home her 2023 award for Best Actress.

Comer stars in Suzie Miller's Prima Facie, which began rehearsals for its upcoming Broadway bow the week before the ceremony. Comer flew back for about 24 hours to attend, and was on a flight back across the ocean almost directly following the after party. "My parents have it at the moment because we had to leave," she says. "I told my dad to put it in the bag. 'Don't get it out of the bag.' Shameless really, but he was carrying it and he got a free upgrade on the train and a free lunch at his local pub," she tells with a laugh.

Previews for the West End transfer begin in the John Golden Theatre April 11 where it will open April 23. Comer stars as Tessa, a British defense lawyer from a working-class background who works very hard to ascend the ranks. As Tessa builds her career defending men accused of sexual assault, her whole world is thrown into question after she ends up in the witness stand. In her interview with Colbert, Comer also talks about how performing in Prima Facie, her first one-woman show, has taught her that she is the only one who can change the rhythm of the performance if it's off. Dani Arlington continues to serve as understudy.

Justin Martin (The Jungle) directs the production which features an original score by Rebecca Lucy Taylor (aka Self Esteem), two-time Tony nominee scenic and costume design by Miriam Buether, lighting design by Drama Desk nominee Natasha Chivers, sound design by Drama Desk winners Ben and Max Ringham, and video by William Williams for Treatment Studio. The Broadway run will be general managed by 101 Productions Ltd.

Partnering with organizations to further change, the Broadway production will work with U.K.-based charity The Schools Consent Project, which seeks to educate young people on issues surrounding consent and sexual assault. It is also launching the Prima Facie Pro Bono Project, offering low-priced ticket lottery and rush tickets at every performance, while also providing free ticket access to specific partner and community organizations.
