Multi-hyphenate Isaac Mizrahi has set a return to NYC cabaret venue 54 Below, where he will perform his show A Brief History August 28-31.
The fashion designer's song list ranges from Cole Porter to Billie Eilish, discussion topics from social media to politics—press notes describe the show as a "cultural whiplash."
Mizrahi is best known as a fashion designer and former judge on TV's Project Runway. A graduate of LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and Performing Arts, Mizrahi has reached back to his performance talents in recent years. He played a stint as Amos Hart on Broadway in Chicago in 2022, and directed A Little Night Music and The Magic Flute for Opera Theatre of St. Louis. He's focused the bulk of his performance energies in cabaret, playing an annual residency at Cafe Carlyle.
