Samantha Hurley's I'm Gonna Marry You Tobey Maguire will get a U.K. premiere at London's Southwark Playhouse later this year. Previews will begin June 28 ahead of a July 3 opening night, with the six-week run continuing through August 10.

The Y2K comedy for fan fiction lovers, which played an Off-Broadway world premiere at Nancy Manocherian’s the cell theatre in 2023, follows eight grader Shelby Hinkley as she deals with an absent father, a neglectful mother, and mean-spirited classmates. To cope with it all, Shelby focuses on the best thing about 2004: Spider-Man. When leading an online fan club is no longer enough, she decides to kidnap and marry Tobey Maguire.

Tessa Albertson will be back starring as Shelby after creating the role Off-Broadway. Also back from the premiere run will be director Tyler Struble. Further casting, by Harry Blumenau Casting, is to be announced.

"It truly is the biggest pinch-me moment to be able to take my very first play to the city that made me fall so deeply in love with theatre," says Hurley in a statement. "Everyone better get their cheeky little butts over to Southwark Playhouse Borough this summer to attend the real royal wedding. (Also, any Love Island UK contestant gets a free ticket!!)"

The production will also feature scenic design by Rodrigo Hernandez Martinez, lighting design by Holly Ellis, sound design by Jamie Lu, and costume design by Reuben Speed. Jacob Stuckelman of Watermark Productions is producing, with Matt Krauss as associate producer. Co-producers include Zachary Hausman, Robin Aren, Taylor Feldman, and Andrew Patino.
