News Honeymoon, Newsies, and Bridges Will Get Post-Broadway Regional Premieres The three titles, all recently seen on Broadway, are part of the Marriott Theatre’s 2017 season.

The Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire, IL, has announced its 2017 season, which features five titles seen on Broadway within the past three years, including the post-Broadway regional premieres of Honeymoon in Vegas, Newsies, and The Bridges of Madison County.

“I couldn’t be more excited to announce that every show in the 2017 season is new to the Marriott Theatre,” said executive producer Terry James in a statement.

Rachel Rockwell will direct and choreograph Mamma Mia!, which features music and lyrics by Benny Anderson and Björn Ulvaeus with some songs by Stig Anderson, and a book by Catherine Johnson. Performances will begin February 8, 2017.

She Loves Me, featuring music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and a book by Joe Masteroff, will follow Mamma Mia!; performances begin April 26. Aaron Thielen will direct and choreograph.

Jason Robert Brown and Marsha Norman’s The Bridges of Madison County will be directed by Nick Bowling with musical staging by William Carlos Angulo. Performances start June 21. Brown’s other musical at the Marriott, Honeymoon in Vegas, will get its premiere August 23. Featuring a book by Andrew Bergman, the production will be directed by Gary Griffin and choreographed by Denis Jones.

Newsies, with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Jack Feldman, and a book by Harvey Fierstein, will be directed and choreographed by Alex Sanchez. Performances begin October 25.
