The North American tour of Hadestown is extending through spring 2024 and picking up some new cast members.

Broadway's Nathan Lee Graham (Priscilla Queen of the Desert) and Maria-Christina Oliveras (Amélie, a New Musical) will take over as Hermes and Persephone, respectively, along with Matthew Patrick Quinn as Hades and Hannah Whitley as Eurydice beginning October 4. Chibueze Ihuoma will continue playing Orpheus after launching the tour as a member of the Workers Chorus.

Morgan Siobhan Green, Kimberly Marable, and Kevyn Morrow will play their final performance October 2, with Levi Kreis departing September 25.

Continuing with the company as The Fates are Dominique Kempf, Belén Moyano, Nyla Watson, with the Workers Chorus comprising Jordan Bollwerk, Lindsey Hailes, Courtney Lauster, Eddie Noel Rodríguez, and Jamari Johnson Williams. Swings for the tour include Tyla Collier, Ian Coulter-Buford, Alex Lugo, J. Antonio Rodriguez, and Cecilia Trippiedi.

After suffering COVID-19 related delays, the tour kicked off at Greenville, South Carolina’s Peace Center October 5 with an official opening engagement October 13 at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Since, the national tour has played 335 performances in 27 U.S. cities.

Anaïs Mitchell’s folk and jazz-infused musical inspired by two intertwining myths of gods and mortals, began as a theatrical concert performed by Mitchell. The 8-time Tony-Award winning show debuted at New York Theatre Workshop in 2016 before playing Canada, London, and, in spring 2019, Broadway. The Broadway bow resumed performances September 2 at the Walter Kerr Theatre.

The production also features choreography by David Neumann, orchestrations by Michael Chorney and Todd Sickafoose, set design by Rachel Hauck, costumes by Michael Krass, lighting by Bradley King, and sound design by Jessica Paz and Nevin Steinberg.
