Pittsburgh's PICT Classic Theatre has announced the complete cast for their upcoming production of The Boys in the Band. Mart Crowley’s drama will begin previews June 16 at the historic Fred Rogers Studio in WQED, continuing its run through July 9.
Jason Shavers will lead the production as Michael, joined by Nick Cearley (The Skivvies) as Larry, Ken Bolden (The Chair, Archive 81) as Hank, Dylan Marquis Meyers as Donald, Jerreme Rodriguez as Emory, Jahir Christian as Bernard, Tony Lorich II as Cowboy, Jordon Ross Weinhold as Harold, and Allen Law as Alan.
Monteze Freeland will direct, with Cory F. Goddard as stage manager and Amy Hotovchin as assistant stage manager.
Set in 1968 Manhattan, The Boys in the Band sees seven gay friends gather for a raucous birthday party. Flowing drinks and uninvited guests cause tensions to rise and deeply hidden truths to be revealed in this landmark work.
