Readings and Workshops Former Members of The Pearl Form Resident Acting Company and Launch Monthly Reading Series The new ensemble will present four script-in-hand readings at The Players, beginning with Noël Coward's Blithe Spirit.

Two years ago, the Pearl Theatre Company closed its doors after 33 years. Some of its former members now continue the work of exploring the classical theatre cannon via the newly formed Resident Acting Company.

RAC, which already presented a number of staged readings in 2018, launches its newest reading series at The Players April 8: The Time Series, four script-in-hand performances of plays exploring various aspects of time. The monthly series kicks off with Noël Coward's Blithe Spirit.

RAC’s presentation of Blithe Spirit features Rachel Botchan, Robin Leslie Brown, Bradford Cover, Dominic Cuskern, Dan Daily, Joi Danielle Price, Carol Schultz, and Emma Wisniewski.

The Time Series lineup also includes Anton Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard May 6, an evening of Shakespeare’s Sonnets June 10, and a fourth work that is soon to be announced.

All readings will have a cash bar that starts at 6 PM, and the readings themselves start at 7PM.
