News Famous Flop Moose Murders Returns to New York Stage Jan. 29 The Beautiful Soup Theater Collective, which presented the rarely-seen musical A Doll's Life, offers another rarity, Arthur Bicknell's cult flop Moose Murders, beginning Jan. 29.

The production, featuring a revised script, continues through Feb. 10 at The Connelly Theatre, 220 E. 4th St.

The cast features Ali Bernstein, Cory Boughton, Dennis DelBene, Orlando Iriarte, Anna Kirkland, Steven Carl McCasland, Caroline Rosenblum, Noelle Stewart, Jordan Tierney and Brittany Velotta. McCasland also directs.

The production has scenic and costume design by Dennis DelBene, lighting design by Christopher D’Angelo and fight direction by Christopher Stokes. CJ Thoms is the production manager, Sienna Metzgar is the assistant director, and Katie Chai is the assistant stage manager.

The infamous flop Moose Murders closed on its opening night, Feb. 22, 1983, at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre, following 13 previews. Directed by John Roach, the cast included Jack Dabdoub, Scott Evans, Dennis Florzak, June Gable, Mara Hobel, Nicholas Hormann, Lisa McMillan, Don Potter, Lillie Robertson and Holland Taylor.
