Irish Repertory Theatre kicks off its 2025 season with Beckett Briefs, a collection of three short plays by Samuel Beckett, officially opening January 26. The limited engagement, which began January 15, will continue through March 9.

Directed by Ciarán O'Reilly, the cast features Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham (Amadeus), Roger Dominic Casey (Aristocrats), Kate Forbes (A Touch of the Poet), and Sarah Street (Molly Sweeney).

The plays performed in Beckett Briefs include Not I, Play, and Krapp's Last Tape, the latter of which features Abraham in the title role, an aged man who reviews his life with the assistance of autobiographical tape recordings from his younger self.

The production also has scenic design by Charlie Corcoran (On Beckett), costume design by Orla Long (The Beacon), lighting design by Michael Gottlieb (A Child’s Christmas in Wales), sound design by M. Florian Staab (Philadelphia, Here I Come!), and sound design and original music by Tony winner Ryan Rumery (Stereophonic).

Jeff Davolt (The Dead, 1904) is the production stage manager, and Shanna Allison (The Saviour) is assistant stage manager.
