Performances begin May 14 for the Off-Broadway revival of Christopher Shinn's Dying City at Second Stage Theater. Shinn—who stepped in for previously announced director Lila Neugebauer—directs the two-hander, which was a finalist for the 2008 Pulitzer Prize.

The production stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Colin Woodell.

Set in a sparse Manhattan apartment, Dying City explores the human fallout of global events, including the Iraq War and 9/11. The play, which received its world premiere at London's Royal Court in 2006, is the story of a young widow who receives an unexpected visit from the twin brother of her deceased husband.

Dying City features scenic design by Dane Laffrey, costume design by Kaye Voyce, lighting design by Tyler Micoleau, and sound design by Bray Poor. Casting is by Telsey + Company.

Performances are in the Tony Kiser Theater, where the production will officially open June 3.
