Second Stage's revival of Dying City, by Christopher Shinn, opens June 3 in the company's Off-Broadway theatre. The play, a finalist for the 2008 Pulitzer Prize, is directed by Shinn and stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Colin Woodell.

Performances of Dying City began May 14 in the Tony Kiser Theater.

Set in a sparse Manhattan apartment, the two-hander explores the human fallout of global events, including the Iraq War and 9/11. The play, which received its world premiere at London's Royal Court in 2006, is the story of a young widow who receives an unexpected visit from the twin brother of her deceased husband.

Dying City features scenic design by Dane Laffrey, costume design by Kaye Voyce, lighting design by Tyler Micoleau, and sound design by Bray Poor. Casting is by Telsey + Company.
