J2 Spotlight Musical Theater Company has revealed its 2024 season, which will include productions of seldom-produced musicals Do Re Mi and Lucky Stiff.
Do Re Mi, with music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, and a book by Garson Kanin, will run April 19-28. Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens' Lucky Stiff will perform May 3-12. Both revivals will play the AMT Theatre. The company is also bringing back its Spotlight Cabaret series to celebrate the writing team of each show. Casting and creative teams are to be announced.
Tickets are now on sale for previous season subscribers. New subscribers can get tickets beginning February 5, with single tickets becoming available February 19.
"We are so energized as we set forth on our fourth season,” says Executive Producer and Co-Founder Jim Jimirro in a statement. "Both of our two shows are fun filled and loaded with terrific songs. As a great thinker once said, ‘They don’t write ‘em like this any more.’ Can’t wait to share them again."

Do Re Mi, which debuted on Broadway in 1960, satirizes the recording industry of the '50s and '60s, following Hubie Cram as his quest for success nearly destroys his marriage. The score includes such favorites as "Make Someone Happy," "Adventure," and "Fireworks."
Lucky Stiff is the first produced collaboration between Ragtime writers Ahrens and Flaherty, a quirky comedy that sees a meek shoe salesman tasked with wheeling the corpse of his dead grandfather halfway across the globe so that he can collect his generous inheritance. The score introduced such Ahrens and Flaherty classics as "Times Like This" and "Good to Be Alive." The musical premiered Off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons in 1988.
