Some legends never die.
Diana the Musical star Jeanna de Waal will join Awkward Productions' Diana: The Untold and Untrue Story during its engagement London's Kings Head Theatre later this spring.
The show, which previously enjoyed a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and a U.K. tour, combines drag, multimedia, audience interaction, puppetry, and queer joy. Running April 17 through May 5, de Waal will make a filmed appearance in the production.
Written, directed, and produced by Linus Karp, the cult hit offers a camp portrayal of The People's Princess and the other royals, highlighting Diana's groundbreaking stances on social and queer issues. Linus Karp will continue to star as Diana.
Karp will be joined onstage by Charles, Camilla Joseph Martin as Charles and Camilla, Geri Allen as The Queen, and Zina Badran as God. Following its London run, the production is set to return to the Edinburgh Fringe, where the show will play Pleasance Courtyard August 20 through 24.
