York Theatre Company is hosting an industry presentation of a new musical titled Nothin' But Love, with book and lyrics by Andrew Zachary Cohen and music by Steven Silverstein. Set for two private readings May 22, the presentation will star Tony winner Debbie Gravitte and her son, Sam Gravitte (Wicked). Billy Recce is directing.
Described as a "valentine to NYC in the '50s," the musical follows a "moneyed Dapper Dan" who falls in love with a "down-on-her-luck immigrant in church." Sam Gravitte will be Dominic alongside Chrissy Pardo as Myla and Debbie Gravitte as his mom, Regina. Also starring are Derrick Cobey, Megan Styrna, Sarah Kleist, Amanda Lopez, Charlie Carroccio, Ayana Attard, and Robbie Crandall.
Timothy Splain is music directing with Kaleigh Bernier serving as stage manager. Casting is by Joseph Hayes.
