David Finnigan's Deep History makes its North American debut with an extended run at Off-Broadway's Public Theater, officially opening October 10 after beginning previews October 5. Performances will continue through November 10 in the company's Shiva Hall. Annette Mees directs.

Australian playwright Finnigan is performing his own work, a solo play intertwining the turning points that led to our current climate disaster with a personal account of his best friend's escape from Australian bushfires.

The work premiered at Canberra Theatre Centre in 2021 in Australia before playing the 2022 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and London's West End.

The performance features video design by Hayley Egan, and Buzz Cohen is serving as production stage manager.
