Caitlin Cook (Yeah, But Not Right Now; Number One) is bringing her solo show The Writing on the Stall back Off-Broadway for an encore run at Soho Playhouse March 27-April 13. A.J. Holmes is back at the helm.

The work, which played an earlier run at Soho Playhouse last fall, is inspired by bathroom stall graffiti that Cook has obsessed over and photographed for more than a decade ("legendary cock lobster," "my life is on fire, I think I'm in love," and "life ain't all burritos and strippers, my friend" are among the favorites Cook cites). Cook turns graffiti into the lyrics of her original songs, exploring shared humanity and what we owe each other.

The show played previous engagements at Edinburgh Fringe, Hollywood Fringe, Brighton Fringe, and Manchester Fringe. Following the upcoming Off-Broadway performances, Cook will take the show to AllWays Lounge in New Orleans May 1, The Den Theatre in Chicago May 31, and Blue Strawberry in St. Louis June 1-2.

Each performance will feature an opening act, with guests including Isabel Hagen, Alison Leiby, Marcia Belsky, and more to be announced.
