Broadway’s August Wilson Theatre dims its lights October 10 at 7:30 PM for one minute in memory of the late Tony-winning producer Adam Epstein.

Epstein—a producer on shows like Hairspray, The Crucible, The Wedding Singer, and more, passed away August 13 after battling a brain tumor.

On Broadway, Epstein's producing credits also included The Life, A View From the Bridge, Amadeus, and Cry-Baby. Those productions earned a total of 46 Tony nominations and 12 Tony Awards, including one for Epstein as producer of the 2003 Tony-winning Best Musical Hairspray—which later enjoyed life as a feature film, a live TV broadcast, and innumerable productions domestically and around the world.

Epstein also received Tony nominations as producer of Best Musical nominees Cry-Baby and The Wedding Singer and for Best Revival of a Play nominees Amadeus and The Crucible.

At the time of Epstein’s death, the family requested that donations be made to support Dr. Timothy Cloughesy’s Glioblastoma Multiforme research fund.
