London's Almeida Theatre has revealed its 2024 season, which includes a U.K. premiere of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' The Comeuppance, about a self-proclaimed “Multi-Ethnic Reject Group” that reconvenes for the first time in years to pregame for their 20th high school reunion.

The work hops the pond following a world premiere Off-Broadway in 2023 at Signature Theatre. Eric Ting directed that staging and will helm the London premiere as well. The U.K. run will feature a new cast, including Yolanda Kettle (The Crown), Ferdinand Kingsley (Silo), Tamara Lawrance (King Charles III), Katie Leung (White Pearl), and Anthony Welsh (The Flatshare).

Performances will run April 6-May 18, with opening night set for April 12.

A U.K. premiere for Kendall Feaver's Alma Mater will follow, June 11-July 20. Opening night is June 18. Polly Findlay is directing the work, about a female college master dedicated to creating a welcoming space for all thrown into turmoil following an alarming incident on campus that puts her at odds with students impatient for action. Phoebe Campbell (House of the Dragon) and Lia Williams (Orestia) will star.

Next is another U.K. premiere, The Years, a new work based on Annie Ernaux's Les Années. Five actors will bring one woman's personal story to life against the backdrop of post-war Europe. The theatrical adaptation is by Eline Arbo, translated to English for Almeida's production by Stephanie Bain. Performances will run July 27-August 31, with opening night set for August 1.

The London theatre is also presenting new productions of Arnold Wesker's Roots, directed by Diyan Zora and running September 10-November 30; and John Osborne's Look Back in Anger, directed by Atri Banerjee and running September 18-November 30.
