The work centers on a self-proclaimed "Multi-Ethnic Reject Group" that reconvenes for the first time in years to pregame for their 20th high school reunion. The world premiere just received five nominations for the 2024 Lucille Lortel Awards, including Outstanding Play.
The U.K. run features a new cast, including Yolanda Kettle (The Crown), Ferdinand Kingsley (Silo), Tamara Lawrance (King Charles III), Katie Leung (White Pearl), and Anthony Welsh (The Flatshare).
Reprising their work from the Off-Broadway premiere are scenic designer Arnulfo Maldonado (now also designing costumes) and magic and visual effects designer Skylar Fox. They're newly joined by lighting designer Natasha Chivers, sound designer Emma Laxton, co-magic and visual effects designer Will Houstoun, and movement and intimacy director Asha Jennings-Grant. Casting is by Jatinder Chera.
