Broadway Sings for Pride, the organization that stages concerts and and other events that “bring to light the challenges faced in the LGBT community,” has announced a series of New York City events building up to its seventh annual Pride Concert, Unstoppable, on June 26. This year’s concert will feature two-time Tony Award nominee Brad Oscar (The Producers), Tony Award-winning choreographer George Faison (The Wiz), and other stage stars.

The 8 PM concert will be held at The Goldman Sonnenfeldt Family Auditorium at The JCC, 334 Amsterdam Avenue at West 76th Street, in Manhattan. Among others scheduled to perform: Tony nominee Sarah Stiles (Hand to God), Gideon Glick (Broadway's Significant Other and Spring Awakening), Will Roland (Dear Evan Hansen), Frenchie Davis (Rent), country music star Chely Wright, and cast members from the Broadway companies of Kinky Boots, Dear Evan Hansen, The Lion King, and other shows.

Among other Broadway-related events for Broadway Sings for Pride scheduled in the coming weeks:

June 16 Pride Rally: 7 PM at Foley Square in Manhattan. Scheduled to sing: Eric Anthony Lopez (The Phantom of The Opera, U.K.).

June 17 New York Mets Pride Night: 3 PM at Mets Plaza/Citi Field. Scheduled to sing: Carrie St. Louis (Wicked, Rock of Ages), Julianna Rigoglioso, Eric Anthony Lopez, B33 Angel ft. Mila Tina, and Lindsay Cherin.

June 20 NYC Pride’s Family Movie Night 7:45 PM at Christopher Street Pier (Pier 45), Manhattan. Scheduled to sing: Nia Ashleigh, Jacqueline Rene, and Michael Muenchow.

June 24 NYC Pride’s Youth Pride, 3:30 PM at 14th Street and 10th Avenue, Manhattan. Scheduled to sing: Vasthy Mompoint, JR Bruno, Julianna Rigoglioso, Eric Anthony Lopez, B33 Angel, and Tym Moss.

June 25 NYC Pride’s PrideFest, 1:30 PM at Hudson Street and West 14th Street, Manhattan. Scheduled to sing: Nkrumah Gatling (Broadway’s Miss Saigon and Hair), Adrienne Fishe, Eric Anthony Lopez, B33 Angel, and Tym Moss.

Launched in June 2011, Broadway Sings for Pride grew out of the the founders wanting to respond to tragic suicides within the gay community.
