Concord Theatricals has secured worldwide English-language stage licensing rights to seven works written by British playwright James Graham, including his Tony-nominated Ink.
Other works include This House, Labour of Love, A History of Falling Things, The Whisky Taster, and Quiz.
“I can’t wait to see how new interpretations of my work resonate with audiences outside of the U.K., and to working with Concord who are such champions of new writing and are dedicated to reaching new audiences with innovative theatre," says Graham in a statement.
“James Graham is an extraordinary talent —a preeminent writer of his generation and ambassador of British theatre,” adds Concord's Chief Theatricals Executive Sean Patrick Flahaven. “We are thrilled that he has chosen us as his home for so many of his ground-breaking, intelligent, and entertaining works, and we look forward to bringing these titles, that explore and question the world around us, to audiences far and wide.”
Ink is Graham's only play to make it to Broadway so far, though the playwright also penned the books to 2015's Finding Neverland and Tammy Faye, the latter currently in previews for its Broadway debut at the Palace Theatre. One of his newest works, Dear England, about infamous English football manager Gareth Southgate, won the 2024 Olivier Award for Best New Play, and is currently being adapted as a TV series for the BBC.
All titles are being licensed via Concord's Samuel French imprint. Find more at ConcordTheatricals.com.
