Off-Broadway's Vineyard Theatre will stage the US premiere of 300 Paintings later this autumn.

Created and performed by Sydney-based comedian and visual artist Sam Kissajukian, the show comes to New York directly from a sold-out engagement at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where it won the Lustrum Award for Outstanding Show. Running November 12 through December 15, the production will officially open November 21.

In 2021, over the course of five intense and unpredictable months, Kissajukian created 300 large-scale paintings, unknowingly documenting his mental state through an extended manic bipolar episode. Throughout the show, Kissajukian examines that period of his life, and explores the ties between art, mental health, and creativity.

A curated exhibition of Kissajukian’s acclaimed artwork will be on display in Vineyard Theatre’s lobby spaces, which audiences are invited to tour before and after the show.
