To celebrate the recent 15th anniversary of the Broadway production of Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman's international hit musical Wicked, which continues at the Gershwin Theatre, Verve/UMe will release Wicked: The 15th Anniversary Special Edition February 8.
The two-CD set of the Grammy-winning Original Cast Recording will also include four bonus tracks recorded live during the October NBC special, A Very Wicked Halloween: “The Wizard and I” performed by Ariana Grande, “What Is This Feeling?” sung by Pentatonix, “As Long As You’re Mine” performed by Adam Lambert and Ledisi, and “For Good” by original Wicked co-stars Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel, who were joined by a chorus fellow former Elphabas and Glindas.
The special edition is available to pre-order here and will be available at the Gershwin Theatre beginning February 8.
The Grammy-winning Original Cast Recording (from Decca Broadway) is certified triple Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for sales of nearly 4 million copies; the recording spent more than 257 weeks at the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Broadway Chart.
