The Michael C. Hall-led production of Will Eno's Thom Pain (based on nothing) celebrated its official opening at the Signature Theatre November 11. The Debate Society's Oliver Butler directs the Off-Broadway revival, currently scheduled to run through December 2.
The monologue play tells the story of a man who is desperately (and comically) trying to save his own life.

Hall, known for his Golden Globe-winning performance in the title role of Dexter, last appeared on the New York stage in Lazarus. His additional credits include Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Eno's The Realistic Joneses.
Thom Pain (based on nothing) is the first Legacy production since Eno completed his five-year residency at the theatre, which included productions of his play Title and Deed and the world premieres of The Open House and Wakey, Wakey.
