Broadway News Watch Frozen’s Pre-Broadway Opening Night Curtain Call Caissie Levy, Patti Murin, and the company of Disney’s Frozen take their first official bow in Denver.

On September 14, Disney’s Broadway-bound Frozen celebrated its pre-Broadway opening night at the Denver Performing Arts Center in Denver, Colorado.

The highly anticipated production, based on the 2013 Disney/Pixar animated movie of the same name, will arrive at Broadway’s St. James Theatre in 2018. Previews begin February 22 with an official opening March 22. The Denver engagement runs through October 1. Watch the cast take their first official bow in the video above.

The stage adaptation features a score by EGOT winner Robert Lopez (Avenue Q, The Book of Mormon) and Oscar winner Kristen Anderson-Lopez, who co-wrote the music for the original film and have written approximately 12 new songs for this iteration. Jennifer Lee, the movie’s co-director and screenwriter, also returns to the project as the show’s book writer.

Directed by Tony winner Michael Grandage (Red) with choreography by Tony winner Rob Ashford (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Frozen features sets and costumes by Christopher Oram, lighting design by Natasha Katz, sound design by Peter Hylenski, video design by Finn Ross, puppet design by Michael Curry, hair design by David Brian Brown, and makeup design by Anne Ford-Coates.

Broadway alums Caissie Levy and Patti Murin star as Elsa and Anna, respectively. Among those joining them are Jelani Alladin as Kristoff, John Riddle as Hans, Robert Creighton as Weselton, Kevin Del Aguila as Oaken, Timothy Hughes as Pabbie, and Greg Hildreth as Olaf.
