The Off-Broadway premiere of Shear Madness, the comedic whodunit that takes place in a hair salon, will wrap up performances at the Davenport Theatre April 23. The production will have played 602 performances and 23 previews.

The show, which originally opened at New World Stages November 11, 2015, reopened last July at the Davenport, located at 354 West 45th Street.

The current cast is made up of Jordan Ahnquist, Gil Brady, Lisa McMillan, Kate Middleton, Patrick Noonan, and Jonathan Randall Silver.

The long-running comedic and interactive Shear Madness, which celebrated its 35th year of performances in Boston last year, is adapted by Bruce Jordan—who also directs the Off-Broadway staging—and Marilyn Abrams, from Paul Pörtner's German psychodrama. The show is set in a unisex hair salon where a murder takes place. The audience is invited to vote nightly on who is guilty and who isn't, producing varied results.
